Can you already guess the song by this image? Photo by Tim Hüfner

It’s Tu(n)esday, folks!!

Important: Put on high quality headphones or speakers.

I know, this is not a remix, this is an incredible song. I love it dearly dearly dearly. And I cannot imagine that anybody who reads this has never heard of it before.
If you didn’t know it yet, I am so jealous that you get to hear it for the first time.

Remixes of already popular songs come with many highs and lows

One advantage is that the audience already knows what they’re in for. Many can already sing along and are genuinely happy to hear this song again after a long time.

With this song and many other songs of the classic rock genre, there is the problem of conservative fans. I know it might seem counterintuitive, since Rock in itself is a symbol for rebellion and change, but modern fans of classic rock seem to be very closed minded about what is appropriate in music.

Another huge difficulty is to actually add value to the song. If a song is hugely successful and still relevant today, chances are this song is just incredibly good. In order for a remix to work out, you need to ADD to a song, analyse what makes this song so good and enhance it. You need to humbly think about what you want to do to it, and alter it with utmost respect.

The best version I found

I want to show you the remix by Tim Enso & Nadi Moss.

Turn you speakers up.

This version is the best version I could find. It is the very first song of this mix. The mix itself is fine, many good tracks, but it lacks transitions.

I am talking about just the first track.

The timing of the original remix is already giving me chills, yet Vasho cropped the beginning to make it just hit the spot! The intensity that wraps your brain from the very beginning really sends me!

The whole set

If you are like me who listens to music AT ALL TIMES, you might find it easier to listen to a whole set.

This is Tim Enso’s set on Soundcloud. “Another brick in the wall” is the second track, I marked the beginning with a comment. This whole set is really nice and worthy to check out.
